Former Turkish Cypriot leadert Mehmet Ali Talat criticized the present leader Eroğlu for “manipulating” the facts regarding the Cyprus negotiations. Referring to the map allegedly depicting the areas demanded by the Greek Cypriot side, Talat claimed that the map was “designed” by Eroğlu’s supporters.

The map in question was distributed in Karpas and Morphou areas just before the suspension of the talks and was claimed to depict the areas “demanded by the Greek Cypriot side”.

However, Talat objects to this allegation and said that the map was intentionally created to manipulate public.

On the other hand,  Eroğlu did nothing for solution in the last 5 years said Talat.

Calling upon the Turkish Cypriots Talat said: “The duty of the Turkish Cypriot community is to say farewell to Eroğlu”.
