A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD boy, that was reported missing on Christmas Day along with his 53-year old father, has been found at a hotel in Paphos, police said.

According to the wanted bulletin issued by the police, the father took the boy from his home in Limassol and vanished, not telling anyone where they were going.

The authorities were notified by the hotel owner who recognised the father and the boy from the wanted bulletin. Asked as to why he kidnapped the boy, the 53-year old offered that he wanted to go on vacation with him.

Both the father and the boy were taken to the Limassol offices of the Welfare Services.

A police source told the Cyprus Mail that the 53-year-old is battling psychological issues and that he was ordered to visit to seek professional help.
