Its with sad news that we announce the death of Ioannis Koumettou the father of well known   Nino Koumettou the Vice President of the National Federation and the Grandfather of Yianni Koumettou the Chairman of Brotherhood FC.

Yianni sadly passed away in Nicosia on Saturday  at the age of 87. Ioannis was born in Kormakitis on the 8th of December 1927 and it would have been his birthday today. He moved to Nicosia in the 1960’s and was a Policeman and there he was known for his great work in 1974  helping several refugees by providing accommodation and food.

He leaves behind two sons and three daughters Nino, Antoni, Christina, Yiannoula and Sylvia, twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

His Funeral took place last Sunday in Nicosia.
