Officers are appealing for assistance from the public in tracing an 85-year-old man suffering from dementia.

John Booth, aged 85 left the care facility where he resides in Holden Road, Barnet, between 0800hrs and 1200hrs this morning, 27 December.

Extensive local police enquiries have failed to trace Mr Booth and officers are increasingly concerned for his safety due to the cold weather.

John Booth is a white man, 5ft 6” tall, of medium build and walks with a slight limp. He has very short grey hair and wears thin framed glasses.

He enjoys walking and staff at the care home and officers are concerned that he may have walked too far and become confused or be unable to make the journey home.
