A British tourist was beaten and mugged in Kato Paphos, Cyprus on Friday.

The 80-year-old man was walking to his hotel at around 10.30pm when he was approached by two people with covered faces and attacked.

According to the police, they robbed the pensioner of his watch, a neck chain, bracelet and seven rings.

He managed to make it back to his hotel where an ambulance was called and he was treated for injuries to his legs
