New Salamis 0 Broadfield Laurels 0 New Salamis won 2-0 in extra time
New Salamis made it hard for themselves in a very tight game versus their opponents Broadfield Laurels from the Harrow Sunday Challenge League, both teams struggled to get on top. The players who shined for New Salamis were the keeper Erbil, midfielder Steve Velandia and striker Deniz Mehmet. Towards the end of normal time time the reds had a couple of clear cut chances but Broadfield had their chances too.
So into extra time they went within five minutes New Salamis took the lead from an own goal the Red’s raised their tempo after that with a new found confidence and were able to score in the second half of extra time with a screamer of a goal straight into the top corner of the net from DEniz Mehmet.
New Salamis now go on to play Belstone Sunday FC who also play in the Harrow Sunday Challenge League in the third round on Sunday 15th of December 2013.
LFA Intermediate Cup
Second Round
Passalona 1 Livadia 3
Livadia playing for the first time in a London Cup have made their way to the third round of the LFA intermediate Cup not bad for a team that was only formed at the beginning of Last season.
It was half time 0-0 and eventual winners 3-1 their goals scored by Elia Katsoulidis, Anastasi Manoli and Richard Strickland.
Livadia now go on to play Poplar in the next round on the 15th December 2013.
Pendayia v AFC Hammersmith
AFC Hammersmith could not fulfil the fixture so the game has been awarded to Pendayia.
Pendayia will now play either Koture or Turkmenkoy in the third round on the 15th December 2013.
Jam FC 2 Aradippou 2 Jam FRC won 3-2 after extra time
Aradippou were 2-0 down and did well to come back 2-2 with their goals coming from Alex and Sam to go into extra time but Jam FC went onto win with the only goal of extra time.
