A 30-year-old Pakistani man was robbed of €7.000 in the centre of Nicosia on Sunday night.
The man told police he was leaving his Western Union office in Constantinos Paleologos Street with the money in a backpack when two people mugged him in the car park close the Themistocles Dervis Street.
He was punched in the face during the robbery, he said.
