Agriculture Minister Sophocles Aletraris called on all citizens to be careful with the usage of water and to avoid wasting it. Speaking to the media during an event held by an environmental organization in Nicosia, Aletraris noted that there is a significant amount of water in all of Cyprus’ dams due to the recent rainfall, noting however that people need to be cautious.
He also said that the health services of the Agriculture Ministry conduct systematic food checks, pointing out that all the products that will be consumed during the Christmas and New Year season will be up to the health standards.
