POLICE arrested three teenagers on Thursday in connection with 22 cases of break-ins and burglaries in Limassol.

According to Limassol CID chief, Yiannis Soteriades, a break-in happened at a kebab restaurant on December 27 at around 4.20am on Kritis Street in Limassol. Following police investigations at the scene a witness came forward and fingered a 19-year-old man from Limassol who the police were already suspicious of.

He was arrested and allegedly confessed to the crimes as well as naming two accomplices, a 15-year-old and 18-year-old who were also arrested. They were taken to Limassol District Court yesterday and allegedly confessed to another 21 burglaries where they had taken the amount of around €3,000 in total. The court ordered their remand for seven days. As well as money from various burglaries the young men had also stolen bicycles and mopeds according to the police.
