HOUSE in Peyia in Paphos was burgled on Wednesday with jewellery and cash valued at around €11,000 taken, police said yesterday. A 74-year-old woman reported to police that between 6.15pm and 10pm, her house was burgled by unknown people and her belongings taken.

Police in Nicosia received a report on Wednesday that €10,000 in jewellery was stolen from a flat, between 8.15am and 4.15pm.

Over €8,000 in cash was also stolen from a car in Limassol on Wednesday, between 10.30pm and 11.30pm. The 25-year-old car owner told police his rear left window was smashed and a bag containing €8,600 in cash and personal belongings was taken. The car was parked in the parking lot of a block of flats.
