An unlicensed 15-year-old boy was involved in a car crash on Tuesday night that injured his two teenage passengers.
According to Larnaca Police Spokesman Christos Andreou the accident occurred on Egyptiou Street at around 11.50pm while the teenager was driving a car registered to his mother.
Eyewitnesses said the boy appeared to lose control of the vehicle before crashing into a parked car on the right hand side of the road.
Andreou added that the driver, and a girl and boy, aged 14 and 12 respectively, were all admitted to hospital and treated for minor injuries.
The teenage driver was formally charged with driving without a license and insurance.
His mother faces charges of negligence for not properly safeguarding her vehicle.
