APOEL football club was fined €250 by the Cyprus Football Association (CFA) and its fans banned from one game yesterday. The CFA decision was in response to clashes between APOEL and Omonia fans earlier this month. Violent clashes broke out before and after of the game with the police arresting eight youths between the ages of 15 and 22 The police said that around 100 fans from both teams exchanged blows and vandalised buildings outside the Lycavitos police station in Nicosia.
