The game looked to be heading towards a draw until Simos Krassas crossed for Spanish striker Arnal and the former Doxa striker head the ball past the Salamina keeper to secure a vital victory.

At the Dasaki Stadium, Ethnikos continued their recovering form as they secured their biggest win of the season with a 4-0 route of Aris – who went into the game still high from their 2-0 win over Apollon Limassol last weekend. Demetris Simov got the ball rolling on 11 minutes and Aris found themselves in bigger trouble a minute later when Marko Pavicevic made it 2-0. Brazilian midfielder Wender made it 2-0 on 59 minutes to put the game beyond doubt before Pavicevic completed the rout ten minutes before the end.
