A total of 31,826 people were registered as unemployed at the end of November. Based on the seasonally adjusted data that shows the trend of unemployment, the number of registered unemployed for November increased to 31,253 compared to 30,969 in the previous month.
Compared to November 2010, an increase of 6,805 people made jobless, or 27.2%, was recorded.
This was mainly observed in the sectors of trade (+1,644 unemployed persons), construction (+1,363), accommodation and food service activities (+1,261), manufacturing (+809), transportation and storage (+420) and education (+365).
The number of jobless among newcomers to the labour market increased by 462.
