AN 18-YEAR-OLD Limassol resident told the police that as she was walking down the street at 7.30pm on Wednesday a man grabbed her by the neck, threw her on the ground and tried to strip her naked. 

The 18-year-old told the police that the man approached her from behind before attacking. 

The young screamed for help and managed to escape, although the attacker stole her mobile phone, which fell on the ground.

She went to Limassol General Hospital with bruises on her neck and arms
