House President Yiannakis Omirou expressed on Friday Cyprus’ full support and solidarity to the Greek government to overcome its current financial crisis.

Omirou, while in a working visit to Athens, met Friday with Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou to whom he conveyed the Parliament’s support, noting that “we are certain that Greece will manage to cope with the problems, because the Greek nation always survives the harshness”.

Papandreou expressed his gratitude, noting that “we obtain strength from your support in order to fight and succeed”.

He also reassured of Greece’s support towards the struggle for the solution of the Cyprus problem.
