Inspections of premises that prepare meals for Cyprus Airways were carried out   Health Services in response to information published on consumption and on expiry dates of meals from passengers  a few weeks ago.

 A spokesman for Cyprus Airways, Kyriacos Kyriacou said the company was suspended a fortnight ago to work with the company, which supplied food and meals. Initially the catering company, he added, had been given a period of six months. 

Mr Kyriacou said that even members of the catering department of the Cyprus Airways Group recently conducted a surprise inspection at the premises where the company prepares meals and was not satisfied so stopped the contract.

Assure you that the meals served by Cyprus Airways double checked and are not in any way endanger the health of passengers.
