Attempted murder on a 43 year old man occurred shortly after midnight Sunday in Nicosia.

According to police announcement, around 00:30, a 43 year old resident of Nicosia, went on foot, injured to the police station Dometios St., where on duty  police were told that he was attacked with a knife by a particular person.

The 43 year old was  transferred by ambulance to Nicosia General Hospital, with  knife wounds and was given surgery. His condition was serious.

According to reports  a few minutes after midnight, two persons (man – woman) reportedly visited the house where the 43 year old resides  in Nicosia. 

The two persons have just entered the house, pushed him and beat him in the face with a fan and then fatally stabbed him in the chest and face.

The Police are still investigating.
