Omonia played their first leg third round Europa Qualifying game versus Dutch team Den Haag at home last night in Cyprus.and came out 3 – 0 victors. What a great win for Omonia it was.
Den Haag had a great success in season 2010 – 2011. Beating rival Ajax 2 times was one of the best results that year. ADO Den Haag ended 7th in the Eredivisie and won the play-offs (beating Roda JC and FC Groningen) which offered the last Dutch Europa League ticket.
So as you can see it is a very prestigious win for Omonia and taking a 3-0 lead into the second leg gives them confidence and high spirits to go into the second league. Omonia took a 1-0 lead into the break with a goal from Da Silva . The other two goals came in the second half from Rencifo and Christofi.
