It was great to see RIK TV televise  the presentation for the TV in Cyprus and all the Countries as well as UK that receive satellite RIK.

The evening began with the Vice Chair Michalakis Michael introducing the Chairman Lakis Chrysostomou who welcomed the Clubs supporters and of course the distinguished guests from the LFA we had Stan Nathan, Mr and Mrs Dorling, Kypros Charalambous Cultural Counsellor at Cyprus High Commission in London. Christodoulos Stylianou General Manager, Cypriot Community Centre , Wood Green. From the media we had Bambos Charalambous and George Michaelides from Parikiaki newspaper. Doros Partassides from RIK TV and Panos Charalambous from LGR. Of course there was the League sponsors Chris Yiannakas from YVA Solicitors and the Cup Sponsors TIUTA PLC were represented by Andy Savva.

The KOPA Chairman then continued to give a brief of the season that we had now formed closer links with Cyprus by the partnership with the Cyprus Sports Association in forming representative teams for  under 16 and under 18 teams who will be playing high profile games in the UK and Cyprus. Also the fact that RIK TV is filming our games and being shown in Cyprus is also helping. This shows the League in good light and KOPA is set for a new era and progress.

He outlined the leagues achievements our progress that our League Representative team won the London Football Association , Interleague Cup and that New Salamis won the London Football Association Sunday Cup for the second year running. He also said that it was good there was no monopoly on the trophies and that all the major trophies were won by different clubs.

The Chairman Lakis Chrysostomou then introduced a very special man and a surprise guest on holiday from Cyprus our honorary Chairman Paul Yiannakas who spoke about the League how it has progressed in its thirty seven years existence and that it was his second family as he served in the League 27 years as General Secretary and then Chairman.

He explained the importance of the League that it has given sport and closeness to our community and guided them and helped our youth find their paths in life.

The Kopa League has had over the years given football to several thousand boys and will continue doing so. Every Cypriot family has had a connection with the KOPA Cypriot Football League over these thirty seven glorious years.

This was followed by the presentation of the Cups, dancing and a rich raffle.

10 Soteris Yianni on behalf of Tripimeni Aris received the Division 1 Cup Runners Up from Chris Kalli Assistant Manager of KOPA Rep Team

11 Secretary of the Year Andreas Loizides was picked up by Yiannis Koummettou on his behalf from the Managing Director of Parikiaki Newspaper Bambos Charalambous

12Tony Stylianides of Omonia received 2nd Division Cup from Tom Loizou Manager of The League Team

13 Miltos Constantinou received award from the League Chairman Lakis Chrysotomou for his services to the KOPA League.

14 Chris Kyriacou of Panthea recieved first division sporting team from Kypros Charalambous Cultural Counsellor at Cyprus High Commission in London.
