The Council of Ministers will on Tuesday discuss preparations regarding the six-monthly rotating EU presidency by the Republic of Cyprus, in the second half of 2012.
The meeting will take place in the afternoon and will be chaired by President Demetris Christofias.
Meanwhile, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Nicholas Emiliou, will be in Warsaw today, to meet Polish officials, in view of the assumption of EU Council trio Presidency by Poland, Denmark and Cyprus (July 2011 – December 2012)
During his contacts, Emiliou will discuss the coordination of the trio presidency, the Cyprus issue, bilateral relations, Turkey’s EU accession course, the situation in North Africa and the Middle East and other issues of mutual interest
