On Sunday Asda supermarket in Southgate  was evacuated  when a fire broke out in the roof of the building.

Four firefighting crews tackled the blaze at the Asda store in Chase Side and evacuated about 35 staff at about 3am.

The fire took two hours to bring under control, and firefighters used a thermal-imaging camera to search the building.

The Supermarket was not due to open Sunday morning.
