Cyprus authorities reported three more deaths and 130 new Covid-19 cases out of a 7,440 tests carried out on Sunday, a positivity rate of 1.75%. At the same time 173 people are receiving hospital treatment, 55 of whom are in a serious condition.

The total number of people who have contracted the coronavirus in the Republic is 30,017 while so far 186 people have died from the disease, 125 men (67%) and 61 women (33%). The median age of the deceased is 80.

The three people who passed away were all men, aged 77, 94 and 83 who also had other underlying health conditions, a Ministry of Health press release says.
 
In total, 173 Covid-19 patients are being treated in state hospitals. The condition of 55 of them is serious. Thirty are intubated, five are being treated in an ICU but do not need a ventilatero and 20 are in an Increased Care Unit.
