A gym employee at Limassol Marina was tested positive for COVID-19, the Health Ministry announced on Monday. The person displayed symptoms and was tested on a private initiative. The total number of cases in Cyprus is 1.022.

According to the announcement, a total of 255 samples were tested on a private initiative, out of a total of 942.

No positive cases were found in tests run as follows:

100 tests were done as part of the programme to test 10,000 workers,   250 tests  were carried out after referrals from personal doctors and special groups screening through the public health centres, 182 repatriated persons and other passengers were tested via airport random testing, 21 tests were done through contact tracing and 134 at the microbiological labs of General Hospitals.
