Unfortunately with great sadness that we announce the death of Tony Kyprianou who fell victim to the Covid-19 on April 6th at the age of 65.

Tony was born in London the son of Loukis and Sophia Kyprianou who were from Analiondas (Nicosia) Cyprus and Alexandria, Egypt, his father was a well known magician and owner of the famous Anemos restaurant in Charlotte restaurant, West End. He was the oldest of three brothers he had twin brothers Ted and Kypros.

Tony grew up in north London , where he was born and following his education he spent two years living and working in Australia .

Upon his return to London , he began a career in the travel and leisure industry , which was to eventually see him moving to Greece for a while and then to Cyprus,where he established himself, living in Larnaca for 12 years . There, he met and married Gail and they had a son ,Jonathan.

In 1993,the couple both opted for a change and they returned to London ,where Tony set about creating and establishing a new career for himself .

He trained for a year in health and safety management ,obtaining several qualifications and subsequently set up his own company A1 Safety management.

Tony’s bubbly personality , intelligence and sense of humour all helped him to turn this into a thriving , successful business, with a wide and extensive range of prestigious clients

Tony was a keen sportsman and a talented footballer . He played for Anemos football club in the Cypriot football League in the UK and also became a referee.

During the last five years ,when age related aches and pains set in,Tony took up Walking Football!

Tony was always a loving and devoted father and a caring ,loyal friend ,

Who will be missed by many friends and family members.

He is survived by his son Jonathan. , his mother Sophie and his twin brothers, Kypros and Ted .

    Just came across this, how very sad, didn’t know Tony for long or very well but thought he was a lovely man, kind and caring, RIP x
