Shortly after 10am on 7 April, officers were called to the station following reports of a casualty on the tracks. Paramedics also attended however the man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not currently being treated as suspicious.

Many extensive enquiries have been carried out by officers since the incident. However despite these, they have still been unable to identify him and inform his family.

To assist officers with their enquiries, a CCTV image of the man is now being released, along with a distinctive logo from his clothing. If you know who he is then please contact BTP as soon as possible.

The man was white, wearing a blue Everlast jacket over a grey jumper, grey tracksuit bottoms and blue socks with white stars on them, with light blue and grey Nike trainers. He had a short black beard, a black beanie hat and a pair of black framed glasses. He is believed to be between 25 and 35 years of age.

Detective Sergeant Gerry Griffin said: “This was a tragic incident and we are working very hard to identify this man so we can let his family know what’s happened and give them the support they need. We have made extensive enquiries but now we need the public’s help. If you know who this man may be, then I would urge you to contact us as soon as possible.
