DEATH ANNOUNCEMENT 

Demetrios Sifonios 

(from Symi, Greece /Alethriko, Cyprus ) 

Born on 16th August 1951 in Ismalia, Egypt. His parents were from the island of Symi, Greece and Alethriko, Cyprus who met each other in Egypt while working in the British forces his father in the army and his mother a nurse. He moved to the UK in 1971. Demetri sadly passed away on Wednesday 25th March 2020. He leaves behind his wife Niki, his sons Michael and George, daughter Soulla (Dionysia), daughters-in-law, Joanna & Sara, son-in-law Zak, grandchildren, Dimitri, Christopher, Sophia, Kristina, Nicole, Angelica, Alexander and Ophelia, his sisters, Ellie, Soulla, Mary & Vicky. He loved his family dearly and he will be sorely missed. Due to the current world pandemic situation, there will be a very small private funeral with only immediate family in attendance. 

His sons Michael and George are well known within our Cypriot football community for playing for several clubs within the KOPA League.

Δημήτριος Σιφώνιος (από την Σύμη, Ελλάδα / Αλεθρικό, Κύπρος) 

Aπεβίωσε την Τετάρτη 25 Μαρτίου 2020 σε ηλικία 68 ετών. Ο εκλιπών γεννήθηκε στην Ισμαηλία, Αίγυπτο. Οι γονείς του κατάγονταν από την Σύμη, Ελλάδα και Αλεθρικό, Κύπρος, ενώ ήρθε στο Λoνδίνο το 1971. Aφήνει τη σύζυγό του Νίκη, υιούς: Μιχάλη και Γιώργο, θυγατέρα Σoύλλα (Διονυσία), αδελφές: Έλλη, Σούλλα, Μαίρη και Βίκυ, νύμφες: Ιωάννα και Σάρα, γαμπρό Ζαχαριά, εγγόνια: Δημήτρη, Χριστόφορο, Σοφία, Χριστίνα, Νικολέττα, Αγγελική, Αλέξανδρο και Οφήλια. Αγαπούσε πολύ την οικογένεια του και θα μας λείψει. Λόγω της τρέχουσας κατάστασης της πανδημίας του Κορωνοϊού μόνο οι στενοί συγγενείς τoυ εκλιπών θα μπορέσουν να παρακολουθήσουν την νεκρώσιμο ακολουθία.
