With only one week away from election day, it is important for all of us as a community to exercise our democratic right to vote and would urge you all to vote decisively and to vote Labour on December 12th.
I know that many of you are very upset and agitated over the Brexit fiasco. This is understandable and is acknowledged on the door step, however this mess in which the Tories had created back in 2016 cannot be resolved unless there is a Labour majority working government.
Tories have divided the country, and the Lib/Dems will bring more chaos.
The Brexit referendum has divided the country and communities with an increase of violence and racism to many ethnic communities. I would like to make it clear of all major political parties positions on this issue.
The Brexit Party, if elected to government, will go for a total dejection of the UK from the European Union, irrespective of a deal or not. This is clearly reckless behaviour from them and would damage the economy and jobs even further..
The Liberal Democrats if elected want to remain in the European Union irrespective of the 2016 referendum outcome. This makes it grossly unfair on those who wanted Brexit but with a fair deal.

Stop the Tories from inflicting more damage to the people and businesses

The Conservatives are the real culprits in this fiasco. The mess they have created has already damaged the economy, businesses moving outside Great Britain and more to follow if the Tories (God forbid) ever get into power.
David Cameron created the problem by allowing the referendum to go through without proper due process and resigned immediately after the result. His successor Theresa May couldn’t handle the mess that she had inherited and was forced to resign as Prime Minister. Her successor Boris Johnson has done everything possible to abuse his power and position to push through his agenda. For instance, Boris Johnson has sacked 21 MPs from his own Tory Party who disagreed with him. He shut down parliament for 6 weeks because it didn’t push through his agenda and that is why we are having a general election. Boris Johnson has behaved nothing more like a South American dictator and he has abused his power and position with little outcome.
Jeremy Corbyn will offer a sensible choice; even the Tories cannot argue on this.
The Labour Party recognises the concerns of both the Brexiters and Remainers. The Labour Party’s proposals are that if Jeremy Corbyn is elected Prime Minister, he would negotiate a trade deal with the EU that safeguards the economy, jobs and worker’s rights. That deal will then be presented to the people for a vote. In effect, the Labour Party is giving the country a second-chance referendum with a trade deal. If that is rejected by the people, then the whole Brexit would be resolved.

Stop the Tory fanatics and liar Johnson

With the Labour Party’s proposals both fair for Remainers and Brexiters, it is a middle of the road option for the best interests for all. Naturally some fanatic Brexiters may disagree with the Labour Party’s proposal for the obvious reasons. However, these fanatics should clearly understand that the Brexit referendum was based on lies and half-truths. It was Boris Johnson who had openly lied that if the UK left the EU, an extra £350 million a week will be saved and ring fenced for the NHS.
Boris Johnson simply cannot be trusted to handle this delicate issue. How can anyone elect a Tory candidate who refuses to represent the views of the people.
However, the Tories and their cronies only need to win 9 more seats in parliament in order to gain overall control of government. They are now targeting our compatriot and first elected Greek-Cypriot MP Bambos Charalambous in Enfield-Southgate. Bambos is a Remainer as the majority of his constituents voted REMAIN whilst his Tory challenger has always been a staunch Brexiter and has refused on numerous occasions to apologise for the Conservative Party’s broken promises.
Tories and Johnson cannot be trusted on NHS, on Brexit, to end austerity or address the homeless problem. This is an election of trust and the Tories can’t be trusted on running our health services and safeguarding jobs. This election was called because of the poor handling by the Tories of Brexit.
Please support all the Labour candidates across the country. Please support Labour and indeed our only compatriot standing for Labour, Bambos Charalambous, in Enfield/Southgate by giving him your vote next week so we can send a clear message to Boris and his cronies, and stop any further damage that he has already inflicted on the peop
