50 Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots participated in the Photography Competition of AKEL and GUE/NGL Results of the Bi-communal Photography Competition of AKEL and the European United Left/North Green Left

Press Office, 8th November 2019, Nicosia The bi-communal Photography Competition organized by AKEL and the Group of GUE/NGL in the European Parliament finished on Tuesday 5th November with the selection of the 12 photographs that will be awarded, as well as the rest of the photos that will be included in a photo exhibition to foloow.

A total of 50 Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots participated in the competition with more than 190 photos. The jury consisted of Adriana Malekidou, Yiltan Tazi, Nilgun Guneyi, Tasos Kosteas and Christakis Sazides. The Organizing Committee was composed of Elias Demetriou, Ismail Oziyol and Marinos Kleanthous.

The 12 winners of the competition (in alphabetical order) are inauguration of the following: Βεϋσί Τζιανατές, Giorgos Zavros, Egin Kund, Erkan Tselikeri, Elias Lambrou, Kiriakos Arkatitis, Marios Iannides, Mehmet Bulent Turkelman, Nagihan Siegeroglu, Peril Sozlaghan, Sozlugen Egerligen, Haroulla Hadjiadamou Samata. The event during which the winners of the completion will receive their awards and the inauguration of the photography exhibition will take place on Saturday, 14th December, 11 a.m. at “Chateau Status” in Nicosia.
