Officers investigating a theft in Borehamwood have released an image of a man and woman they would like to identify, as they may be able to assist with their investigation.

The incident happened on Wednesday 24 July at 2.30pm at a Tesco supermarket in Shenley Road.

A woman in her eighties was purposely distracted while her purse was stolen from her trolley-bag.

Hundreds of pounds were then withdrawn from an ATM.

PC Dominic Smith from the Borehamwood Intervention Team, who is investigating said: “We hope to talk to the people seen in the photo as we believe they were in the area at the time of the incident, and they may have information that could assist with our enquiries.

“Please get in touch if you recognise them.”
