New Salamis who started the game in fourth place after two games one win and one draw in the Spartan South Midlands League went into their match with Milton Keynes Robins in a confident mood.

Milton Keynes Robins their opposition were bottom of the table losing both their games so far 6-1 to league leaders St Panteleimon and 8-0 to second placed Winslow United.

MK Robins took the lead in the 29th minute with a George Shrieves free kick and went into the break 1-0 up. New Salamis equalised in the 52nd minute when they were awarded a penalty from a hand ball and Georgiou scored.

Not long after The Robins retook the lead! a great delivery from Robbie Mc and Alex Filip nods home after Mercer’s effort smashes the bar!! 2-1 to the Robins and their first win of the season and lifts them from bottom spot to 11th place and New Salamis drop to seventh.
