Police are appealing for information and witnesses following a fail to stop collision in Islington.

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service (LAS) at 16:52hrs on Thursday, 20 June to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Ashbrook Road, N19.

Officers and the LAS attended and found a 12-year-old female pedestrian injured.

She was taken to a central London hospital where she remains. Her injuries are not life-threatening.

The car did not stop at the scene and enquiries, including analysis of CCTV, are ongoing to trace the driver.

The car involved was a black Range Rover. Police enquiries are ongoing to trace this vehicle; we are not releasing additional details of the vehicle at this time.
