Savvas (Savingo) Kyprianou sadly passes away.

Savvas Kyprianou sadly passed away peacefully after a short illness on Tuesday 16th July 2019 at the age of 84 and leaves behind his two children Maria and Peter , three grandchildren Emilio, Sophia and Alexander, brother Andreas, brother in law Chris and his wife Eva and brother in law Makis.

Savvas (Savingo) Kyprianou was born in Prastio, Morphou 25th of August 1934 the son of Kypros and Maritsa he was one of four children, Nikos, Chrystallou (both deceased) and Andreas.

Savvas came to London from his home village Prastio, Morphou,as a young 18 year old in the mid 50’s and married Evangelia from Nicosia in 1958. His first home was in Kensington, then when they got married they moved Poplar and eventually Wanstead.

Savvas worked as a barber eventually owning his own shops in Poplar and Wanstead where he was very popular with his customers and friends. Savvas was very devoted to his family and was saddened by the loss of his wife Evangelia twenty five years ago .

The funeral is taking place on Wednesday 31st July 2019, at 12.30pm at the Greek Orthodox Church of St Lazarus and St Andrew the Apostle , Rutland Road, Forest Gate, London E7 8PHand the burial at New Southgate Cemetery, Brunswick Park Road, London N11, 1JJ at 2.30pm.

Instead of flowers there will be a donation box for various charities.
