U10 AEK versus Norseman in a game of 2 halves. We started well enough and went in 1-0 up at half time courtesy of a great Markus strike.

Second half was a different story where the boys clearly lacked passion, commitment and willingness to do the basics. Norsemen equalised,  then AEK scored a farcical own goal and they got their third shortly after. MOM Theo, whose heroics in goal kept the score respectable

U16’s Golds

Aldenham Excel Eagles FC Team 2 – 1 AEK Youth FC Gold team. After a series of cup matches they played a league match against a team that had varying results. Keeping with most of the games AEK  started poorly and not getting into the speed of the game. The opposing team started to build momentum and despite them hitting the post from a breakaway attack they scored one of their own. Unfortunately, this still did not spark AEK into life much and the opposition used their main weapon of a big, fast and strong player up front to unnerve them and before long they scored a second from a header via a corner. Changes were made before half time to get some energy into their play and it had success with them scoring a goal before the break. Further changes were made for the second half which had the desired impact and they started to take hold of the game and dominate play. Following a series of hitting the bar three times, an adjustment was made in the formation to try and press harder for the equaliser. However, despite other one on ones, clean cut chances and a disallowed goal for an alleged offside, and ran out of time. Scorers: Enver Deniz. MOM: Yianni Morfoullis.
