Omonia Youth made their debut in Cyprus today Monday versus New Salamis it began with a one minutes silence in memory of the Mother of the Omonia Youth manager Kyri Georgiou who sadly passed away last week.

The match started in a friendly manner both teams exchanged pennants and the two teams had a photo taken together.

New Salamis started the better of the two sides and were one nil up after ten minutes and as the game progressed Omonia built up confidence and had their chances. The second half Omonia were quick off the mark and scored with Alex two minutes after the break and now both the teams were playing with passion and New Salamis retook the lead in the 60th minute and ten minutes later Jamal for Omonia slid the ball in for a equaliser.
It was then end to end football with both teams chasing the winner and it was the reds from the edge of the box a neat shot gave New Salamis
the 3-2 win but Omonia played very well and will now be looking forward to their next match tomorrow with Omonia in Nicosia.
