Police were called at 13:28hrs on Wednesday, 9 January to reports of a man being chased by a group of youths on St Stephen’s Close, Waltham Forest.

Officers attended the scene and found no trace of any victim.

At 13:35hrs, police were notified of a man with a slash injury to his face on Bromley Road. Enquiries are ongoing to establish whether this man is the victim of the initial call to police.

He was taken to a nearby hospital and his injuries have been deemed not life threatening or life changing.

No arrests have been made; enquiries are ongoing.
