President of Invest Cyprus Michalis Michail discussed with stakeholders in Ireland, ways to strengthen bilateral relations and develop cooperation between Cyprus and Ireland in different sectors of the economy.

According to a press release by Invest Cyprus, Michael participated as a member of the Cypriot delegation under President of the House of Representatives Dimitris Syllouris, in meetings with governmental officers and business actors such as Minister for Trade, Business and Employment, Pat Breen and Executive Director of the Industrial Development Authority Ireland (IDA) Mary Buckley.

Invest Cyprus has signed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding with IDA Ireland since 2016, aiming to develop closer cooperation between the two countries in order to encourage interested local companies to establish or expand their activities in each country and to jointly create opportunities for investment in both countries in all sectors of the economy.

The Memorandum provides for the exchange of information regarding the investment environment and investment opportunities, as well as the exchange of experiences and best practices concerning the attraction of investments.
