Andreas was born in Enfield and is the son of Chris and Thalia Zindilis. He is a teacher at the British International School in Abu Dhabi. He moved there with his wife Ellie in 2011. They also have a younger daughter, Phoebe.

Abu Dhabi having hosted the competition in 2009, 2010 and 2017, will once again hold the FIFA Club World Cup this year between 12 – 22 December, with a total of 8 matches taking place at Zayed Sports City Stadium in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain’s Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium.
As champions of the UAE’s domestic Arabian Gulf League, Al Ain FC will be joined by the champions of the six confederations: UEFA’s Champions League, South America’s CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores, North America’s CONCACAF Champions League, Asia’s AFC Champions League, Africa’s CAF Champions League and Oceania’s OFC Champions League.
The UAE champions will contest a playoff match with OFC Champions League winners, with a place in the quarter-finals at stake. There, the winner will be joined by the continental champions of Africa, Asia and North America. The champions from Europe and South America will then enter the competition at the semi-final stage, before the final is played at Zayed Sports City Stadium on December 22.
Clubs confirmed so far are UAE’s Al Ain FC, UEFA champions Real Madrid CF, OFC champions Team Wellington FC of New Zealand, North American champions CD Guadalajara of Mexico, CAF’s Champions Espérance Sportive de Tunis of Tunisia and AFC’s Champions Kashima Antlers of Japan.
South American Champions still to be decided.
