Stunned beach goers and holidaymakers were left stunned as  an unconscious man was transported back to shore. It is being reported that a man has suffered a heart attack whilst out at sea at Geroskipou beach, Paphos.

Lifeguards responded fast attempting to revive the man, first aiders were on the scene administering CPR whilst awaiting the ambulance service. The ambulance are now on route to transport the man to a local hospital.

It has since been reported that a German tourist is in intensive care after she lost consciousness while swimming in the Geroskipou area on Monday afternoon.

She was spotted by another swimmer who called for help.

Lifeguards brought the 69 year old woman to shore and used a defibrillator. She regained consciousness and was taken to Paphos Hospital where her condition is described as critical.
