Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers tackled a fire in a shop with flats above on Seven Sisters Road in Tottenham. Part of the ground floor was damaged by the blaze.

Two adults and an infant left a flat before the Brigade arrived. Nine further residents were assisted from an adjacent building by firefighters.

The Brigade was called at 0828 and the fire was under control by 0916. Fire crews from Tottenham, Stoke Newington and Holloway fire stations attended the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
