The Cypriot Wine Festival & Business Expo, organised by Parikiaki, takes place this Sunday 27th and Bank Holiday Monday 28th May at the Lee Valley Athletics Centre in Enfield. Once again we will drink, dance and experience all things Cypriot!

The music will be pumping as soon as the doors open and the party won’t be stopping until the doors close! Our entertainment programme as always is one of the main attractions and this year, we are ecstatic that Konstantinos Argiros, currently top of the hot list in Greece, will be closing the event on both days, performing exclusively live in London for the first time ever!

In fact we’re so excited that we’re running a competition where if you purchase a seated ticket, you’ll automatically be entered into a competition to win a meet and greet with Konstantino! The lucky winners will be announced via the Cypriot Wine Festival page on Facebook.

The singer’s performance, courtesy of Vada Productions, will kick off at 8pm on the Sunday and 7pm on the Monday. Expect a 2 hour live show packed with his biggest hits …Ximeromata, Psemmata, Athina-Thessaloniki, To Simberasma, Ta Kataferes. Osa Niotho, Pare Me Agkalia, Defteri Fora, Paidi Genneo, Pote Xana, Erotevmenos Kai Trellos, Mallon Kati Xero and many, many more! I want to see you all singing along!

The singer will be supported by Kyriacos Georgiou, no stranger to our community; he is a north Londoner after all! Kyriacos blew everyone away with his last performance at our event in 2015 and we’re absolutely delighted to have him back. He’ll be belting out his hits Sto Poto Mou Rixse Stahti, the highly popular Pos Tin Ides – Kazhi Mi and his latest single Sta Pio Trela Mou Oneira.

Following her collaboration with Yiannis Ploutarhos at last year’s festival (you can forget that!), the lovely and highly talented Elizabeth Chapman returns to the CyWineFest stage. Most of you would have heard her brand new release Irthes Esi and she’s looking forward to performing it live for all you this weekend!

As it is the year of comebacks, back by popular demand is Tony Panayi, this time performing the popular Ah Maria and from what we’ve understood, he’s got a little surprise up his sleeve!

Other acts performing as day turns to night are George Nicolaou who will sing Ano Kato, bouzouki duo Makarios Jordanou and Andy Ioannou of the Niavent band who are performing for the first time at CyWineFest, as well as the Karotseris Dance Group who are flying in from Cyprus to perform traditional Cypriot dances and of course Marios Avraam will once again dance with far too many glasses on his head – he’s A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Don’t miss it!

During the day you’ll have the opportunity to take part on an OPA-cize demo with UK Ambassador Marianna Neofitou. She’ll be giving us a taster of the very popular fitness class and we hope to see many of you joining in the fun!

Themis Loizou will be teasing us with colourful cocktail concoctions prepared with a Cypriot twist! Catch him at 3pm on both Sunday and Monday as he adds a little Zivania, brandy and Commandaria into the mix!

CyWineFest princess Christina Katsi is Belle of the Ballroom yet again and she’ll be performing a medley of Disney songs for all the children to enjoy.

And of course, providing non-stop music throughout the two-day extravaganza is DJ Chris Theoharous and LGR’s DJ Magis.

Entry only tickets are £10 (adults), £6 (senior citizens/students/children aged 11-17/people with disabilities), and FREE for children up to the age of 10.

Concert tickets in a designated seating area, which enable you to get closer to the action, are priced at £25 (includes entry into the festival). These can be booked online at www.cypriotwinefestival.com or call the ticket line on 07904 537 181.

As we say at CyWineFest… taste the tradition and let’s party!!
