In the big game on Sunday Apollon from Limassol beat Apoel from Nicosia 4-2 to go top. Apollon opened the scoring in the 14th minute with Anton Maglitsa and Pedro made it 2-0 in 31st minute and Pote made it 2-1 in the 41st minute.

Apollon followed scoring another two goals to make it 4-1 both their goals coming from Papoulis one a penalty. Apoel scored a second in the 86th minute with Alonefti.

AEK beat Omonia 3-1 AEK’s goals coming from Trickovski, Acoran and  Tete and Ekiza scored for Omonia in the 43rd minute and then he was sent off in the 48th minute leaving Omonia to play with ten men the rest of the game.

Anorthosis who remain in third place beat AEL 2-0 Schildenfeld scoring on the volley and the other goal coming from Victor.

In the other group Alki beat Pafos 3-0 with their goals coming from Diakite, Hamdi and Malfleury. An important win for New Salamis beat Olympiakos Carlao scored both goals in the 61st minute and added time. Ermis Aradippou beat Doxa Katokopias 2-1 with all the goals coming in the space of four minutes Ermis goals  from Emeghara 76th minute and Taralidis 80th minute and Doxa’s in the 78th minute with Sadik.

Standings: Group A’: Apollon 70, APOEL 67, Anorthosis 60, AEK 58, AEL 51, Omonia 44. Group B’: Doxa 37, Ermis 36, Alki 32, Nea Salamina 30, Paphos 29, Olympiakos 20.
