President of the European Council agrees that there should be an EU reaction to Turkey`s interference with Cyprus’ rights in its Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), a government source told CNA.

President Nicos Anastasiades met President of the European Council Donald Tusk, earlier this evening in Brussels, to brief him personally on Turkey`s intervention in the Cypriot EEZ, in view of the official briefing of the President to his counterparts at the informal EU27 Summit tomorrow. The meeting concluded at 18:45 local Brussels time.

According to the same source, President Tusk listened to Nikos Anastasiades, perceives the facts and the situation and shares the view that there should be an EU reaction.
