Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a  house fire on Soham Road in Enfield yesterday evening (Tuesday, 17 October).

 

The fire badly damaged the first floor of the terraced house and two women escaped the property before the Brigade arrived. Both were taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service suffering from smoke inhalation.

 

The Brigade was called at 1816 and the fire was under control at 1914. Crews from Enfield, Tottenham and Southgate fire stations attended the incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
