Officers investigating a serious collision along the A10 in Cheshunt are appealing for information and witnesses.

 

At around 12.45pm today (Monday, July 7) a blue Peugeot 308 was travelling southbound when, for reasons unknown at this stage, the driver lost control of the vehicle just before the Turnford exit and collided with a barrier and road sign.

 

A man and a woman suffered serious injuries and have been taken to hospital by land ambulance.

 

The northbound carriageway was temporarily closed to allow the air ambulance to land and take off. The southbound carriageway remains closed at this time.

 

Sergeant Doug Fishwick from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit said: “I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the vehicle shortly prior to the incident to contact me via the Hertfordshire Constabulary non-emergency number 101, quoting ISR 290 of Monday, August 7 or report information online at www.contacthertspolice.uk/Report/Crime.
