Detectives in Hackney are appealing for information to trace a man who has absconded from a mental health unit.

Mark Peacock, 41, was last seen on Thursday,16 February at 13:45hrs in Sainsbury’s supermarket, Arena Shopping Park, Green Lanes, Haringey, N4, while on a period of escorted leave.

He is described as a white male, 5ft 9ins, of slim build with close cropped light brown/blonde hair.

He has distinctive tattoos including ‘Made in London’ written on the back of his neck, several swallow birds on his hands and a British bulldog tattoo on his right leg.

At the time of his disappearance he was wearing a dark grey polo top, a light grey tracksuit top and zipped grey jacket. He was also wearing black Nike trainers.

His current whereabouts are unknown.

He is originally from Essex and is known to frequent various locations in London and the south of England.

Members of the public are advised not to approach him but call 999 immediately. Anyone with information on his whereabouts are also advised to call 999.
