Police were called shortly after 03:00hrs on Saturday, 5 November, to reports of shots fired in Muswell Hill, N10.

Armed officers attended the scene – no victim or suspect was identified at the location although a damaged car was found.

At around 03:30hrs, a 22-year-old man attended a north London hospital suffering gunshot injuries. His condition is serious but stable – not believed to be life-threatening.

Trident officers are investigating the shooting.

A police cordon remains in place in Muswell Hill.

There has been no arrest at this early stage.
