First Division

KLN 4 Brotherhood 12

What a cracking game this was great entertainment all round. It was one of those games if you blinked you would miss a goal.

Brotherhood’s goals came from Aaron Kennedy who scored six. Dodi Behiri, George Christodoulou, Mark Doyle 3, Chris Hajipapas and KLN’s goals came from Chris Papacosta 3 and George Charilaou.

Olympia 3 Livadia 3

A great game with all out action both teams began the day second and third place in the table.Olympia scored first when their striker Bray was pulled down and Ramir Rifat scored from the spot to give Olympia a 1-0 lead. Just before the break with a long distance shot from the edge of the box Luke Procopiou equalised for Livadia.

Straight after the break Samir scored to give Livadia the lead, and in the 72nd minute Livadia’s  third goal came from a free kick taken from the right and Ricky Sarno was on the edge of the box  to thump it into the back of the net from the edge of the box.

This seem to wake up Olympia and they were into attacking the Livadia rear guard and it paid of for Olympia when they scored two goals to equalise with David Laird scoring the second after Livadia’s keeper George pulled off a couple of saves and the third came from Nicky Rifat who minutes later was sent off after receiving a second yellow card.
St Panteleimon 2 Anorthosis 3
Anorthosis are back in the swing of things after a win at St Panteleimon in an all out action game where one of the best goals of the season was scored, where straight from a penalty save by the St Panteleimon keeper resulted in a Saints attack straight away and scoring from the break.
Both teams played exceptionally well and although the Saints had only 9 men for the last twenty minutes they still battled until the end.
Anorthosis goals were scored by Andy Anastasiou, George Gregoriou and Charlie. St Panteleimons goals were scored by Nick Menelaou and Nikos Salapatas.

 Second Division

KOMI KEBIR 2 ACHNA 1

Komi Kebir kept pace with Apoel at the top of the second division with a hard fought three points against a spirited Achna.

Achna started well and forced a penalty in the 20th minute. Ari Hadjikkou in Komi’s goal pulled off a phenomenal save stretching to his left to save Theo Charalambous’s spot kick.

This woke Komi up and they started to move the ball a lot better. Eighteen year old Striker Luis Hanna-Marks was released down the left and he crossed for full back Nick Toumazos who came in late at the back post to put his side 1-0 up. Komi soon doubled their lead when Sami Menari finished a good passing move with a cool finish from Theo Vassiliou’s cross.

It was 2-0 at the break but Achna came out strong with Theo, Mike and Chris Petrou all going close as Achna dominated play for long periods. They were soon rewarded when a ball over the top was latched on to by Mike Stavrou and he put his side back in the game with 20 minutes to go.

Komi were resilient at the back and held on for the win but can count themselves lucky as Achna peppered their box in the closing stages.

Asha 6 Pantel 4

What a game this was Asha were winning 5-0 but finished 6-4. Asha went into the game full of confidence but Pantel were  awarded a penalty on 25 minutes.
