Firefighters were called to the London Eye on The Queen’s Walk, SE1 this evening.
A number of guests had become stuck on the Eye’s pods following a technical fault. Thankfully the London Eye mechanical team rectified the problem and got the wheel turning so all guests could safely disembark before any action was required by our crews.
The Brigade was called to the scene at 2153 and the incident was resolved at around 2300. Two fire engines and two fire rescue units from Lambeth, Soho, Euston and Chelsea fire stations attended the scene. An aerial ladder platform also attended the incident.
