Christos Malikkides, Permanent Secretary of the Defence Ministry in Cyprus and his British counterpart Stephen Lovegrove had a meeting on Wednesday, during which they discussed regional developments, the fluid geopolitical environment and ways of cooperation to deal with terrorism and asymmetric threats, an official press release says.

The also discussed matters relating to the European Policy of Security and Defence, the press release adds.

Malikkides and Lovegrove further exchanged points of view regarding the organisational structure of their respective ministries and ways of enhancing bilateral cooperation.
